  2. Convenience - flight, transfers, hotel, activities, food, and drinks all for one price.  No surprises, and very easy.
  3. Enjoy time with family - Many resorts offer excellent kids facilities and programs, and all inclusives are perfect for multi generational vacations, which have never been more popular.  (more…)

Tips for Eating Healthy on your All-Inclusive Getaway

Tuesday, December 16th, 2008

Booking an all-inclusive vacation does not have to also mean that you are taking a vacation from healthy eating habits.  Here are some tips for tackling the buffets and coming home feeling relaxed AND healthy:

  • Research Local Specialties - In a foreign country, we sometimes encounter dishes that look delicious but are otherwise a mystery.  Knowing how they are made will make it easier for you to manage your meals when you are there.
  • Healthier Happy Hour - Stay away from cocktails that are creamy or have a high sugar content.   Drinks made with pure fruit juices are a good alternative, and staying hydrated with water throughout the day is a must.  Some good choices include Sangria, a Marguerita, or a Mohito.

Tuesday, September 30th, 2008

(UPDATE - We also stayed at this property in March 2009, and it was fantastic.  I can help with any questions on the property)

A great pick for this winter!

We were in Punta Cana earlier this month, and yes, the hotel we stayed at was fantastic.  I also toured a number of other resorts and for the most part I saw what I expected to see - some great properties on a breathtaking beach… something for everyone.

One resort in particular, though, just blew me away with it’s feel, the look and layout, and the amenities offered!   It is actually two resorts, but for business purposes only… in effect, it’s one property, and all of the amenities are shared.

What resort am I referring to?
