As much as we enjoy the warm sun, we must be cautious in our welcome.  It can bring joy, but also can be extremely damaging if we don’t take the proper precautions, especially with our children!

Of course you should avoid the midday sun, shield infants in strollers and carriages, reapply sunscreen regularly and especially after swimming, look for sunglasses with UV protection, and go indoors immediately when a child’s skin begins to redden. This summer I had the opportunity to visit a truly outstanding resort: Beaches Turks and Caicos.  It was only for one night, but that was long enough to be very impressed with what the property has to offer.  The other three Beaches properties are in Jamaica (I have also toured Beaches Boscobel), and they have many of the same features and amenities, however the Turks and Caicos location is certainly the jewel in the crown.
