Dubai comes to the Caribbean
Here they come. Dubai-based luxury hotel company Jumeirah Group is breaking into the Caribbean market
as the management company for the Botany Bay Resort a luxury multi-use resort occupying the entire western tip of St. Thomas, dramatically located where the Caribbean Sea meets the Atlantic Ocean.
The Jumeirah Botany Bay Resort, formerly known as the Preserve at Botany Bay, is scheduled to open in 2011. The five-star boutique hotel on a 400-acre resort will include 84 hotel rooms in nine buildings, 30 timeshares, 30 privately owned villas and 20 estate homes.
Guests of the world-class luxury resort will enjoy several beaches, secluded coves, a pristine coral reef and a nature conservancy, fine dining restaurants and a beach club as well as a Talise Wellness spa.
Serviced residences will be managed by Jumeirah Living, combining the luxury of a prestige hotel with all the privacy and comforts of home.
The management agreement with Timbers Resorts is a key addition to Jumeirah’s rapidly growing portfolio of luxury properties in London, New York and the iconic sail-shaped Burj Al Arab in Dubai.
Jumeirah hotels and resorts are also currently under development in Phuket, Shanghai, Argentina, Mallorca, London, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Doha and Jordan, among others.
