Kevin has always been an optimistic person. But several years ago, he was faced with a personal dilemma when he was working as vice-president of sales at a large flower exportation firm and lost his job due to company-wide cutbacks.

Looking to get away from the corporate environment, Kevin started looking into becoming a home-based travel agent. Having travelled to 35 countries in five continents over the years, Kevin had plenty of experience knowing what works and what doesn’t.

“I’ve always loved to travel,” he says, “so I knew it would be a perfect fit for my personality.”

In the fall of 2005, Kevin decided to get involved with TravelOnly—a family-owned travel firm headquartered in Brantford. Now celebrating its 40th anniversary in business, TravelOnly is one of the fastest growing companies in Canada with over 600 travel agents across the country.

With the global reach of the internet, it doesn’t matter where Kevin’s clients happen to be located. Although he’s based out of Burlington, Kevin currently has a range of clients throughout Canada and the U.S., and has continued growing his business every year through word of mouth.

Kevin has also won several accolades in recent years. In addition to being a member of TravelOnly’s prestigious President’s Club for his high level of sales, Kevin has been a Diamond Award winner in the Burlington Post Readers Choice Awards for Best Travel Agent for the past two years.

According to Kevin, much of his success stems from his ability to build strong relationships with his clients and get to know their tastes. He also takes great pride in his availability, working longer hours than most travel agents and getting back to inquiries the same day.
