10 tips for eating adventurously
Some people would still consider eating sushi an adventure. For most of us, though, adventurous eating
goes way beyond that. Brain, eyeballs, tarantulas, snakes, and even bull testicles are just some of the delicacies enjoyed around the world. With an open mind and a bit of courage comes a whole buffet of unexpected adventures!
Here are 10 Tips for the Adventurous Eater (from Outpost Magazine):
- If you can’t find it back home, don’t pass up the opportunity
- If it’s on the menu, it probably won’t kill you
- Expect to like everything - attititude is key
- Add bonus points for food or ingredients previously thought inedible
- Don’t waste time staring at your food - dive in
- Build courage!
- Use common sense - if it looks like it was served last month, pass it up
- Go easy on the spice to start
- Don’t bite off more than you can chew
- Know where to find Pepto-Bismol!
